Pop Word is a daily pop culture crossword for iPhone and the web. Every answer is real trivia about the day's theme: films, TV, games, music and the things you grew up with.
Questions
When does the new puzzle arrive?
At midnight UK time. If you are mid-game at midnight you can finish yesterday's puzzle first.
How does scoring work?
You get points for each word, more at higher levels, with a combo for solving words in a row. Earning a letter costs points every go, right or wrong, so your total can go below zero. Calling the hidden answer early wins a bonus.
What are the levels?
Casual is for anyone who has seen or heard it once. Fan needs a bit more. Superfan is for real fans. Each level has its own grid. You choose before you start and it stays for the day.
How does the vote work?
When you finish, you can vote for tomorrow's puzzle from three choices. Voting closes at 9pm UK time and the most votes wins.
I think a clue is wrong
Tell us which puzzle and clue. Every puzzle is fact-checked, but we would rather hear about a mistake than leave it in.
My score did not appear on the leaderboard
You need to be online when you finish. If you were not, the app sends your result next time you open it that day. For Game Center, check you are signed in under Settings > Game Center.
Can I play on a computer or an Android phone?
Yes. Play Pop Word in your browser: it is the same daily puzzle, scoring and vote as the app. Your game is saved in that browser, so carry on in the same one. If you finish offline, it sends your result the next time you open the page that day.
